I am currently a tenant at Marine View Apartments and I have had a chance to read the complaints prior to this post and would like to voice my opinion from a prospective of my professional background as an Area Manager for a hospitality firm. I first moved into Marine View in March of 2007 and moved out for business reasons one year later. My experience was good and not so good. Let me also say that I am not afiiated with Marine View in any way other than being a tenant.

Let me first say that there was a complaint by 'No Marine View' that said he/she had to hire their own maintenance person and spend $500 of their own money to get repairs done. WRONG. Maintenance people outside of the comlex are not allowed to touch anything without expressed consesnt of the management. I am a very particular person who likes quiet and am a neat freak. I have now moved back and have been here for a month and a half. I returned for a reason and it isn;t because the place sucks. It is an old property rich with history and surrounded by total beauty. There are areas where children do play and when they do play, they are in it for the win. In my opinion, it is too loud in certain areas. In other areas, it is pin drop quiet. I would recommend this place, BUT I would also recommend taking the time to watch the place and the activities going on in those areas and judge the best area to live here. Kids are kids and this is an apartment 'complex'. I have noticed that the grounds are very clean and the maintenance is working harder than ever with an increased staff. There are some less than decent caliber tenants (in my opinion) that have little regard for noise level and not making it to the trash dumpster. The numbers are small and with the efforts being put forth in comparison to when I was first here, the management is on the right path. People are jerks no matter where you go. You can choose to be in a box surround by others in a box, or you can stay here and be careful as to where you live, depending on what you want to be around. There is a manager here that is very professional and she works hard to please the tenants. I have not experienced 'strong arm' tactics used by management. As a matter of fact, I have witnessed quite the opposite. I have been introduced to the area manager, the property manager and the assistant manager, all of which were outgoing and friendly. I had some issues when I first moved in (I am picky and I am sure my bickering drove them nuts but they accommodated nonetheless) and it was addressed quickly and the manager followed up with me. I recommend this place, but with the above mentioned 'caviats'. I see not mold or mildew nor did I before. I do not see garbage and I do not hear that much loud music, but if you do it's usually done at hours that aren;t offensive. It's nice here.

That photo posted on this review is utter nonsense. Why do i get the feelin this is posted by management. Most views a person gets is noisy traffic and cluttered lawns that are either over-watered or covered in wild growing ivy. That's if you even have a lawn!
