Picture this: A beautiful complex built 20 years ago, occupied by some of the most educated and well-behaved tenants any landlord could wish for. Combine that with an office staff who has been asked to lie to the tenants and induce them into signing releases by Prometheus's lawyers to make it easier to abuse residents. Now these greedy bastards have come up with the brilliant idea to replace the parking lots (already packed full of cars) with 7 new 5-story buildings that will take at least 2 years to build. I am talking about jack-hammer and heavy truck noises starting before 8am and going into the week-end. Top that with dust from contaminated soil filled with toxic chemicals that spreading all over the units. Forget about getting peace and quiet at home, or even trying to do any productive work at home (which all us have to do, being in Silicon Valley).
