Don't buy into the nice exterior. By all appearances from the outside these apartments appear to be home-like. Once you enter you see that the absolute cheapest material has been used. These units are guaranteed to fall apart during your lease. Everything used is so flimsy, unless you rent the place and don't live in it, something is going to break. The closet doors are like cardboard and dangle freely (no rail for the floor) on those oldstyle tracks that always derail. Even though they are new these apartments are designed as if they were intended to be dumps. The worst apartments built in the 60's and 70's seem to be the models used when selecting cabinetry, light fixtures, closet doors, etc. The floors are covered in gray indoor/outdoor carpet. Any "wood" is vinyl stuck on particle board. The ONLY good thing about these apartments is the floor plan. They are relatively large. Otherwise they are just like any cheesy dump in town, they just are newer and more expensive.

I agree that these are pretty cheaply made. But I guess you get what you pay for? They are relatively inexpensive apartments, clean and safe, in a great neighborhood just blocks from the beach and downtown. When we are ready for something more upscale, we'll definitely be moving. But for the price, they are ok. My only complaint, again, is all the noisy undergrads.
