Ahh the stories I have...

Hopefully the following situations me and my housemates have been in will help you to determine your sanity level in renting at this place.

Let?s start off with parking, it?s terrible, before they had a system that was: you see a space, you park there. That was a pain to deal with, as often there were little spaces. Then about a year later they implemented assigned spaces. This was well and all, but if you had more than one car, you had to pay more for the extra space, extortion I?d say. And here?s another thing that happened to me, birds. Yes birds like to poop on cars, it?s just a fact of life. At Cypress there are endangered birds, it?s a wildlife sanctuary. The spot I got assigned had some endangered birds nesting above my COVERED spot, so instead of pollen(which that place has plenty of) my car got pooped on excessively, and the nest couldn?t be moved, those are endangered species.

There?s nothing like a well kept complex with trimmed grass and bushes. Unfortunately at Cypress, they like to do yardwork almost every friggin day in the morning, right when you?re sleeping. There?s nothing like waking up to lawnmowers and blowers when you didn?t get enough sleep studying for your engineering finals, then actually going to go take it, I mean come on it?s as easy as Business managment finals right' The same thing can be said about the garbage, if you live any side that is close to a garbage receptacle, you?re sure to have the same fate as the yardwork, except it?ll be a lot more smelly. Also note that racoons like to dig through the trash at night, it?s like a zoo at cypress really. One night when my housemate was smoking on the porch, a bunch of racoons started eyeing him and surrounding him, then slowly crept up on him...he?s still gets into the fetal position everytime he sees a racoon.

Laundry, laundry rooms are often where you do laundry. You do not expect them to be a place where homeless ppl come in and steal your clothes. The most memorable event was when my housemate(the one traumatized by racoons) was smoking on the porch. He sees a guy rush out of the laundry room. My housemate goes back into the house. A loud knock at the door. It?s the guy rushing out from the laundry room. "DID YOU SEE WHO STOLE ALL MY CLOTHES'!'!" You can even go into one of those laundry rooms then reading the bullentin on how many articles of clothing were stolen from various ppl. Why don?t they lock it is beyond me...

Now let?s look at management, yea it?s a sad sight. I?m going to tell you of when I submitted my application. First of all it costs 80 bucks, damn that?s a lot of money, I dunno about you but I?m just a poor college student. They want you to get the damn thing noterized as well. They want your cosigner to submit all their tax incomes and forms and crap. Well I did that, and guess what' they can?t even read an income form. I got this call after I submit my application, turns out they think my dad can?t support me. OK, I thought, guess I?ll have to go to the management and have a sit down with them. "YES that form shows my Dad owning property, he is a landlord, NO he?s not an idiot like you guys, What?s that' you think you can confuse me with your big words and small understanding of management'" Yea they tried to make it seem like it was my fault, I?m sorry if I know more about how to run a property than them, I mean is it my fault I?m thorough and have common sense'

This other time, a family moved above us, we lived right below. THEY were MAD because they thought we made too much noise. YES the ppl ABOVE us, who we could hear every footstep, were angry at us and kept calling the cops on us. So we called the cops on them. Cypress, said "uh...we don?t know what to do" How about mediating a talk between us' But instead they decided to threaten letters to our parents instead. Way to Cypress, that sure showed us.

If you read any other review on this apartment complex, you?ll surely read about the water problem. They?re ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS turning off the hot water, and "fixing" it. I believe it?s been two years running, all I know is waking up early to yardwork, garbage removal, then not having the option to shower is NOT my idea of a well run apartment. By the way the prices are astronomical to live there, but I hear it?s better now that ppl have started complaining.

In short, Cypress has taking many valuable things from me, and have sped up my stress and the grey hairs growing on my head.
