Looks better than it is

All right, we got hooked on this place because it offered us a rent break. But honestly' It's pretty bad. The water heater problems are still there, although not as rampant as described in older reviews.
The up sides - it's a very nice-sized place for 2 people, there is a decent pool/tub, and club/game room. It's very pretty and close to many things.
The down - my main problem is the 8 am grass mowing. For some reason this starting time is non-negotiable. This will go on for a few hours. It wouldn't be so much of a problem, but the walls are VERY thin, and the accoustics in the main yard are great for singing, horrid for sleeping - every word, every sound, every blade of grass is heard loud and clear. The management will nodd, smile, and not change a thing.
The parking is problematic. You get 1 spot, and you get in line for a second one. There are apartments for rent and there are empty spots, but for some reason they are not released at all.
mold.... what can I say' Things grow fast in Santa Cruz. And we got an interesting warning about not touching the ceiling because of asbestos issues. Yumm...
Ah yes. How could I forget' The kitchen is 'basic college' - there is room for pizza-baking and that's pretty much it. The cabinets are so poorly planned, that many shelves are completely useless - nothing the size of the space will make it through the cabinet door!!
Bottom line - if you can get a price break and you're not fond of late mornings, this is an ok place. I personally wish I would have looked harder...
