umm... no

If you commute to UCSC by bus, then the location of these apartments is good. The grounds are pretty well kept. With that, I conclude the positive portion of this review.
Now a quick run down of reasons not to live here:
Management is condescending and flaky. You can never rely on them to take care of anything promptly, perhaps with the exception of coming up with ways to snatch up your deposit.
Just about all of the two bedroom apartments surround the parking lot, so noise is constant and consistent from the time the garbage men show up at 7:00 am until 3:00 am when people loudly roll in with their unmuffled cars.
The maintainence crew seems to be there 5 days a week with the lawn mowers and leaf blowers. I think I could have stood more stray leaves if it meant that I could have gotten a little quiet time in on the weekdays.
The apartments are dirty - mold, dust, stains, and more mold.
The entire neighborhood surrounding the complex comes to use the pool - so if your apartment is nearby, screaming, unsupervised children make studying on the weekend an impossibility.
Parking is just ridiculous.
When I lived there, rent was more reasonable, compared to some of the other complexes in the area, but then they jacked it up $200 a month. Do yourself a favor, and if you are a student moving off campus for the first time, check the classifieds for a place that isn't corporate run - don't just do this place because it seems easy.
