Crazy Point

I've lived in some pretty awful apartments but this place is seriously the worst. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT move into these apartments. Granted they look nice on the outside, if you want to pretend you live in SoCal suburbs instead of Santa Cruz, but don't let the landscaping fool you. I had heard bad things about Cypress Point before I moved in but I was desperate and decided I would just deal with it.
From the beginning of the move-in process everything was wrong. The inept management could not find the file for the apartment and still haven't found it. The leasing woman could barely handle complete sentences let alone whole conversations and was easily angered when she couldn't understand basic questions about the apartment.
By far this was the worst move-in process that I've ever had to deal with, but then there was living here. First of all, our neighbors were insane. Actually on my birthday this year I came home to find tons of cops swarming the complex. A drugged-up teenager was throwing furniture and knives off of an upstairs patio, threatening to kill the police, and generally losing her mind for two hours. The scene was disgusting and I couldn't get to my apartment until 2am. There were tons of renters in my position, standing around and watching while an ambulance, fire truck, and scores of police officers waited for something to happen. I never heard a word about the event from the management. Later on in conversation with a police officer I told him that I lived at Cypress Point and he said, "Oh that crazy apartment complex'" and rolled his eyes. He had so many stories about this place.
Oh and I had mold. Lots of mold. I tried to get it dealt with, but apparently mold isn't that big of a deal' At least that is what they seem to think as I called several times (they kept saying they'd figure it out and call me back, yeah right), wrote a letter documenting the situation and all of the times that I contacted them), and nothing happened. This is to be expected however, as likely nicknames for the office are definitely either "We Forgot" Office or "Misinformation" Office. You talk to one person and hear one thing, talk to someone else and hear something completely different. On second thought, the whole place should be called, "Crazy Point".
