Visually I had an amazing view from my apartment deck. The best view in the complex. The first place was the small 2 bedroom (or 1b/den). A bit noisy with the people above, but that is to be expected. I don't know what the management's problem was but when our lease was up they wanted to raise our rent (why with all the vacancies). At this point we were paying above the going rate for the apartment. This is something they have done to other tenants. Well we moved to the bigger apartment next door (2 full bedrooms and baths) for the same price (it was the advertised price for that place). So what I would recommend is if they are raising your rent call the office and ask what they are renting apartments for (you don't have to say you live there)
To end we should have not done the move. The apartment next door was awful. The stairwell leaked into our kitchen warping the cabinets and we had a sworm of termites dropping down all over our kitchen countertops. Both of these things were not fixed properly. Infact is was "taken care of" so horribly that we moved out.
The good thing about this place though is the easy location to SF, it allows pets, cheap deposit,the gym, and if you are lucky you can get a great view.
