I live there for over about a year and a half. It is Marin City, and let me tell you - you are right next to the low income "projects". All kinds of rough-types running around; crime in the area is a well kept secret that shows up place to place. Bands of teenage kids roam the area and make a lot of noise. I complained often about it and management could care less. They said the gates would lock, they never did and stangers would roam our cluster often. There are buses that go there often becuase accross the street there is a major hub for the marin transit line, and it is noisy too becuase of it.
Bottomline, I would not move there for the money they ask. The places are nice inside, have wd hookup and I (not all do) have shared garage areas. However location, location, location. They are in denial - thinking they have some swinging "sausalito" place. Heck - I moved to a real Sausalito place for less money for the same and much more. They play a game with people who make money. Keep in mind because of the deal they made with Marin County to build, they must have a percent of low income in there. They would never tell me how much by percent, but I believe it must be in the 30-50% range. So it seems they fill occupancy with low income, and I see them move them around the complex a lot, so that there occupancy rate stays at a good rate to try to justify higher prices for those who can pay.

I agree! And I want to say the the management of Ridgeway apartments does not care for the tenants. The "New" parking lots are peeling away and the cars slide around as if on ice. We Tenants have to pay for garbage and water and all the neighborhood as well as Ridgeway (dumping their apartment waste) uses the dumpsters that we pay for. the neighbors all wash their cars with water we pay for ... some have a business doing so ... with free water that I pay for! Enough is enough! Do not move here! The neighborhood kids through Rocks the size of base balls at your cars and windows and the fighting in the parking lots ... too much to bear. I am looking forward to moving out of this sub standard living arngement and getting on with my life.
