Noisy and low class-management does nothing to stop problem tenants

I moved here from a much lower rent complex with lots of bad neighbors, drawn in my the new units and nice landscaping. Too bad I didn't know I was moving next to a family or several of low-income, do-nothing, stay at home all day and play loud music night and day sons of -------. They yell, slam doors, drink beer in the hallway, give my wife and I dirty looks, and generally treat this otherwise nice place as their pissing ground. After repeated calls to security and management, nothing has been done. So I guess if you pay your rent late, have 18 people live in your unit, and be the worst neighbor possible, they still cant't evict you. God bless America. I would strongly suggest getting a corner unit if possible, and ask to meet the neighbors before signing the lease. Also, I think the cops are here more than they are at the police station. Nice place, bad tenants, use caution.

Theres this funny thing that people do nowadays called moving into a HOUSE. Can't afford it? Neither can I. The windows and doors are very sound proof and it sounds like you're the person who calls in complaints everytime they hear something go bump in the night. The majority of the people at the complex are nice and smile and say Hi everytime i'm walking around. I think the cops are there because grumpy people like you call them all the time. Dirty looks ??? Maybe its because of the dirty vibes your putting out. You can transfer to any other archstone and keep your rent, so leave!!!
Please stop being a ----. Take a deep breath and chill the ---- out.

I'm the one who just responded to your review. Actually i have TWO room mates and i work for the city of los angeles at recreation and parks.
Dont let your kids run out in the road! You're on edge, I know living in a huge complex isn't always fun because of the other people but come ON there are worse things happening. You're probably one of the people who give out nasty looks and don't say hi as i pass by you in the morning.

To the response on this review- I agree with this review 110%! You are probably one of 15 living in a 2 bedroom apartment who has no cosinderation. You may even be my neighbor who smokes pot, drinks, and yells at all hours of the night. Or the one who speeds through the complex and doesnt care if a child croses the road. So you tell me, which one are you?!?!?

Its apartment living!! You have to deal with cars and bumps its just part of the life od living in an apartment. As far as the cops go, they are not here all the time I can tell you that for sure. Its a very nice place that is not as cheap and run down as everyone says. Try living in some of the other apartments around Simi and you will quickly appreciate Archstone!
