I have lived here for three years and I can't wait till my lease is up. There are so many problems, where to begin.

Our biggest problem is the parking lots. They are tiny and if you neighbor has an SUV or large car, forget about having enough room to exit on that side of the car. There is never visitor parking and many people have to park on the street. This causes a problem pulling out of the parking lot onto Patricia Avenue because you can't see if cars are coming. We also have teenage punk kids skateboarding in the parking lot in front of our car. They never move out of the way when backing up or pulling into our spot. They leave trash, lean up against, and have scratched my car. First we tried talking to the parents but instead they wanted to fight.. physically fight. We brought this upon the staff several times and only once did they solve the problem. A few days later, it was back to the same old thing.

The laundry rooms is another big problem. Each apartment has about 10 people living in it so they produce a lot of laundry. Instead of them doing about 2 loads every day, they do all the laundry at once and take up all the washers and dryers. They leave them in there longer so that others cannot add their clothes when they are finished. A few times I have had to put their laundry on a counter because they left their clothes in the dryer for a few hours. The laundry room is cleaned about once a month so there is powdered soap, lint, and fabric softener sheets on the floor. Also, there is spilt soap on the washers. There is also graffiti on the walls and washers. Twice I have had a whole load of clothes stained because of something previously left in the washer that I didn??t notice until it was too late. Worst thing I heard about a year ago is that a girl got raped in the laundry room. I believe this because the door is left open until late at night and there is a deadbolt lock so the rapist was easily able to lock the door from others entering.

The office says there is security every night from 6pm to 2am. What about from 2am to 9am when the office staff arrive' This is the best time for any thing to happen. I rarely ever see them if they really are there all the time. Just recently they did give us a phone number to call if there was any problems. I wish I had it before because we have had many times I could have called. Just a few months ago someone did try to steal our laptop that was near by our window that was left open. (we where never supplied with a window screen). The blinds where closed so we didn??t know he was coming until he was right at the window reaching in. My husband caught him and he ran off. We tried to walk around the apparment complex looking for the security person but he was never found. I do see the police drive through about once every 6 months. This place is also known as ??Crackside?? so its famous in Simi for drug dealing and such.

And then there is all the kids. Each apartment has at least two baby factories inside. I would guess there is atleast 6 small kids (not including all the preteens on the stairs or behind a bush starting their own baby factory) in each apartment so there is just too many to watch over. They run , scream, and ride bikes in the common areas from sun up to sun down. This even includes school days. They don??t even watch over their babies just learning to walk. If there is any supervising, they have their 4 year old watch them.

I apologize for this being so long and I still could go on and on but I think I made my point. Never ever even consider this place. Anywhere is better than here.

i really agree with you i lived here for two years and i am leaving this dump in 2 weeks I was paying 1600 for 2b 2b and I got Archstone appartments for 1475. Archstone is 1000 times better than creekside.
