I love the apartments themselves. Beautiful, spacious ... the washer, dryer, dishwaher all work great. I've never had a problem with the neighbors (well, one minor incident with a very loud video game at all hours) and in general it's a very quiet neighborhood. Yes, the windows are double-panned, but this does not make them sound proof. I live in a building next to the street and you can very much hear the trains, but anyone who moves in knows the tracks are there so this is not something anyone can complain about.
The only real complaints I have are about the maintenance. When we moved in we pointed out a number of things that needed fixing ... wiring in the bathroom, a light bulb out, none of the outlets connect to light switches ... we've now lived here 7 months and NOTHING has been fixed. Luckily these were things we could live around (though we shouldn't have to) but if you have major problems, I wouldn't count on speedy service.
