A Truly Unbiased Review...

I have read all of the reviews on here. Those reviews that claim Hidden Valley Apartments to be the best thing since sliced bread must have been written by the employees that work there and live there nearly rent free. All of the negative reviews, though somewhat exaggerated at times, are certainly true. My husband and I lived at HVA for one year on the dot. Like other reviews, my complaints are the same:
#1. The management there are the least professional and courteous I have ever dealt with.
#2. The walls and floors are paper thin. We lived on the 2nd floor and could hear everything that went on in the apartments above, below, to the left, and to the right of us.
#3. The noise from the train is deafening. However, when you move in, you know the train tracks are there so don't expect it to be "not that bad" because it certainly is.
#4. The parking in terrible. The assigned spaces are not at all organized by where you live, and if someone parks in your space management does nothing to address the problem; you simply must wait for the car to leave.
#5. The fixtures in the apartments are relatively cheap and can break easily. If you report a problem, you can rest assured that it probably will never get fixed unless you report it another 10 times.
The truth is, if I had to do it over again, I would not have lived here. It's nice to have a washer and dryer in your unit, but for the dollar amount you have to pay in rent, you can find apartments that are much cheaper with nicer staff and apartments that have been built with total quality in mind. Also, beware of your security deposit. Our apartment was well maintained and always kept clean yet we only got back $160 or our $400 security deposit. The reasons they listed we ridiculous and the prices charged for services such as carpet cleaning were astronomical.
I read many of the reviews about the apartments prior to moving in and thought our experience would be different, unfortunately it wasn't. Consider your other options before moving here.
