When my wife and I moved in to Indian Oaks 6 years ago, we were pleased with the pleasant grounds, the friendly staff and the rent. That was then. 6 years of steady rent increases have added 40% to the cost of the rent and while unoccupied units are being upgraded with new appliances, carpets and paint schemes, existing tenants are getting nothing. But the worst is the quality of the people that have moved in over the years. From our balcony, we have witnessed drug overdoses, fistfights, SWAT teams surrounding an apartment and screaming matches between mothers and daughters. Although the rules prohibit skateboards and bicycles from the walkways, I don't think a day has gone by that I have had not had to move out of the way while someone else's kid screams by on a bike or skateboard. Dogs are prohibited - but a huge dalmation lives in an apartment near the parking lot and the owners send him outside to go to the bathroom under an oak tree. They NEVER clean it up. The jacuzzi has not worked properly for 6 years. Our laundry room door fell off it's hinges, and although we reported it before Christmas, it still has not been replaced. Our car has been vandalized 4 times in 6 years. Bottom line - I don't think that management has a clue what is going on around their complex. If they do know, they don't care.

I AM NOT SURE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BUT I HAVE LIVED HERE TOO FOR SOME TIME NOW. SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST MISERABLE IN LIFE AND YOU SEEM TO BE ONE OF THEM. GOOD LUCK TO YOU...

Dear Aimco employee - I had to wait in the parking lot for 2 hours one night and my wife was stuck in our apartment scared to death because the SWAT team had the building next to ours surrounded. We watched them capture one of our neighbors at gunpoint and take him away. Are you kidding me????????? I have seen my ex neighbor taken away twice by ambulance for drug overdoses. Are you kidding me???????? My wife had to call the police at midnight one night because one man was beating another under our balcony. Are you kidding me???????????? Have you seen the groups of kids on skateboards on our walkways? Why am I stil without a laundry room door for 6 weeks when I was told it would take 2? Are you kidding me?????? By the way - since this response was posted within a couple of hours of when I submitted my review, it seems obvious that the apartment management company is monitoring these comments and posting replies. Let's be honest here.

I agree with Stevemcam1. Instead of responding to the posts they should respond to the problems we are reporting. They should tear this place down and start anew.
