Deceptive office staff and poor maintenance

I don't even know where to begin when talking about Mono Village Apartments. Aside from them totally screwing us over on our deposits the maintenance was a joke.
We spent over 10 hours cleaning our apartment before moving out. It was much cleaner than when we moved in at which time there were cobwebs in all the corners and dust everywhere. We vacuumed, steam cleaned, wiped down every single surface including the walls, and were still told they had to do 4 more hours of cleaning'!'!'!' What the hell was there left to clean' Nothing! It is their way of trying to get as much money from you as possible.
We could hear our neighbors talking at night, we could hear them cooking, we could hear every single thing they did or said. We could feel them walking up and down their stairs.
Definitely take a lot of pictures when you move in and check EVERY surface. Check under sinks, check in closet shelves, check everything and write it on the move-in form.
The office manager walked through our apartment with us as we were leaving town and said it was the cleanest she had ever seen before. Then we find out after we have already moved to Colorado that they are withholding cleaning charges, steam cleaning, drapes, windows. It is just ridiculous to say the least.
Do not rent from these apartments. Check out the townhouses in Columbia first, check out anywhere but here. Sonora is complete ghetto and I would think twice about living here, but if you have to do not live at Mono Village.

I do believe that each and every person who signs a rental agreement also signs a move out cleaning cost addendum clearly stating that the draperies will be drycleaned, the carpet is an automatic cleaning fee since they use the same company for each move out and that the windows if not cleaned to perfection are professionally cleaned....Contrary to what this person says I doubt there was "dust everywhere" and/or cobwebs since each apt. is painted before move-in. I only know this because it was I who was the manager at the time, however deceptive you might think I was you signed a document agreeing to the fees charged to you.....I have to agree though on one thing, THANK GOODNESS I NO LONGER LIVE THEIR EITHER......(SONORA) IT IS HICKSVILLE AND NOT A GOOD PLACE TO RAISE CHILDREN....unless you want them to grow up cow tipping, or using meth.....oh ya, and the walls are pretty thin, but the new one bedrooms are insulated well!
