My main complaint against this place is the manager SANDY. She is deceitful and mean spirited person.
On 4th of July weekend she posted a sign on her office saying that rent was due by the 6th due to the holiday. Then called people at the end of the day on the 5th to ask them if they were going to pay rent, and proceeded to tell them that if they did not make it into the office within the next 30 minutes there would be a late fee. She picks on the kids in the complex, and if somehow you get on her bad side she will kick you out at the end of the lease.
During the summer of 2007 she deciced not to re-new some leases that were coming up. Mind you she did not kick them out - there was no eviction notice. At the end of any lease the tenant and/or manager can decide not to renew the lease and you give or are given 30 days to leave. When my neighbor tried to look for other apartments SANDY told the new complex that they were kicked out - w/o further explaination of what really happened.
She needs to be managing an elderly complex b/c she does not like kids/pre-teens/teens/young adults. I live on the bottom level and therefore pay more rent to have a porch but I am not allowed to go out on it and have friends over b/c it is considered a "party".
She believes that any ex-tetants are not allowed into the complex to visit friends and has on multiple occasions called the cops on children caught being in the complex. When the police arrive they don't really know what to do b/c here is this little kid who just wanted to play with their friends. So they ask them to leave but that is really all they can do b/c none of the kids are doing anything illeagal.
She talks badly about people she does not like openly in public to other neighbors, and is a constant gossip.
There is selected enforcement and favoritism. She has specific people in the complex that are narcs and tell her misinformed facts.
The really sad fact is that this is a really nice complex and beautiful place to live. I love my neighbors and it is like a little community with people looking out for eachother's kids, the manager is 2 faced and the property manager is blind as a bat. Which she also talks bad about publicly.
I know from personsal experiance that even if you do not do anything wrong yourself you are guilty by association and she will find things to give you notices about.
She once gave me a noise complaint - which was my 1st notice - on a 3 days to quit - and said that it was my final warning - even though it was really my 1st for noise.
She likes to give me notices about my porch alot - I am allowed to have furniture on my porch for a day while setting up arangments to move it, but if I have a bag of recycleing in there for more then an hour she will give me a notice to pick up my porch.
There are a lot more unfair experiances I could list but there is not enough room to fit all of them.
Bottomline - the complex is not worth the crap you have to go through with the manager.
When she gave us that last notice I was really confused b/c it has been so cold we have not been outside on the porch on the dates mentioned, and there was never any more then 2 other people besides me and my spouse, and no one was ever there later then 10 pm. I talked to my neighbors and most of them thought we were on vacation b/c they have not seen us outside in so long.
I am a prisoner in my own apt. and I keep hoping that something really good happens to SANDY so that she stops being a dictator.
Please take my word for it and do not move into this place, it is not worth the time and heartache that SANDY causes.
I could not detail entire accounts due to a lack of time but please know that there are many more - not all my stories - everyone has a bad story about her - DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Then move stupid. I've lived here two and a half years and think Sandy does a great job keeping this a peaceful place to live. Don't like that? Move on - there's a place for even you somewhere.

If you call harassing the tenants, making false complaints, KICKING OUT ANYONE WITH KIDS WHO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY, a peaceful place the live, you must be a crack smoking -----.
