As a --------- male i find it quite disturbing that I have to write about things like these happening in this day and age.
However I have seen first hand how the staff at oak wood apartments discriminate against peoples of color, they refuse to fix problems, that tenants bring to their attention, (I know personely that for a year a tenat has complained about rats, and just this week this tennant was given a 30 day notice to quit. the tennant was told they were being evicted) I find this disgusting. Don't you' Also the tenant was told in order to move back in they would have to reapply for a new apt. as their were no apts. available, ( I called and was told "we have plenty").

Thank you for posting this. Oakwood was one of the places my family was considering moving to but alas, this is no longer one of our considerations. The unit we were shown was nicely remodeled but we still wondered how the tenants were being treated because we knew no one who had lived there. Thank you for letting us all know not to waste our time or money on this apartment complex.

really....who would write something positive on this website. the whole basis of it is to vent..... often residents do not "own" their parts and embelish the truth. just my two cents as a previous manager.
