Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006

Gee where do I start' I moved into the apartments back in 2004 my rent started out at $800 and in less than 24 months it went up to $1200.
I signed over all the water and electricity to my name and I requested a copy of the water application so I could personally turn it in, they said no they would not give me a copy and they would fax it over and take care of it. Guess what... they forgot to send it over and for a year they were paying for it. Then all of a sudden I get a letter from them requesting the payment for a year worth of water PLUS interest and if I didn t pay them with in 2 business days they would evict me. Because they forgot to send off my paperwork to the water company.
Then I had issues with ants I asked for them to spray they said the guys comes by every Friday and they put me down on the list to spray. But for some reason I kept getting ants and I had them spray 4 times in 4 months. So one Friday I requested a spray and they said they would have him out that Friday. So I parked my car somewhere else and sat at my house to wait for the guy to come spray my apartment. He never showed up. At 5:00pm I went to the office and asked them if the guy came and sprayed. They said yes he did. At which time I told them BS I was home all day no one came over. They then proceeded to pick up a phone that wasn't ringing and pretend to talk to a new client and ignore me till I left. (Was never fixed)
My Fireplace would blow out nothing but smoke like the chimney was plugged but they never came out to fix it or look at it. (Was never fixed)
My AC was broken during the summer and was never fixed and it almost killed my grandpa, which came over for a family dinner, because we couldn't cool down the house. (Was never fixed)
The windows are single pane so there is almost no insulation and the heat and cold seeps in and out.
The bathroom Light would short out if you took a hot shower that lasted more than 10 min. (Was never fixed)
I had some work done to my apartment and when I got home my $1500 TREK bike was missing, it was stored inside my apartment in my den. They said it wasn't any of their employees and that I must have given my key to someone and they took it. But the thing is I have No Family out here and I sure in the heck didn't give my key to anyone. SO now i have a police report on it and i am about to sue the apartment complex for all the BS they put me through.
On the move out (I bought a new house and my mortgage is less than what my rent was) they put a note on my door stating that they would have someone come through my house on Thursday, which was only 15 hrs away. I called and told them no I do not want them to go through my house while I am not there, because I didn't trust them (because of my TREK being stolen). They went through anyways and more stuff came up missing again. And again they said it must be someone else that took it because their employees would never do that & I am the ONLY person with a key to my apartment other than their employees!
You pay extra for gated but the gates are never closed or working.
O and I almost forgot. My gas and electricity must be swapped with the person below me. How do I know' Well I left the country for a vacation for 1 month and turned off all electricity and gas to my apartment. I come back to a $120 bill from PG&E. PG&E said the meter is ok and to find out if it is swapped they would have to do some work but need to get it OKed with Waterfield, they of course said no.
Also one word of warning i am willing to bet my house that 99% of the people that state this place is a 4-5 star place and that nothing bad ever happens to them are actually people that work in the Office &/or associated with them in some way or another. And are trying to bump up their "rating". If you look at all the reviews they are all in the negative cept 1 or 2 that pop up every once in a while.

I'm glad I didn't listen to all the negative reviews on this website because I would have passed up a great place to live. I guess most tenants who are happy here don't take the time, or even think about, posting a postive review. Dude - if you've already bought a house and moved out of these apartments why don't you just let it go? It's bad karma to hold on to so much anger. Maybe it wasn't a good place to live several years ago, but how can you review what it's like in 2007 if you left in 2006??? I'm very happy here and encourage other potential renters to check it out for themselves.

LOL I love when people start attacking other people on apartment rating sites. And she's telling HIM to get a life. The first complaint is a little much. I lived there for three years and aside from the little ------- in the office who 1) are not highly educated I would assume, and 2) have a delusional sense of importance, it was a fine place to live. I felt very safe and was a single girl living alone for the first two years. It became a little cramped for two when my boyfriend moved in so we moved. Rent did go up an incredible amount though so be prepared. By the time I moved out of my 1 bdrm, my rent was way more than a two bdrm there. Ridiculous.
