Arbor Terrace

I've lived here about eight months (got jacked on rent...it went down right after I signed a 12-month lease), and so far it's been pleasant. The kitchen and bathroom are small and kind of funky/old, but clean and in working condition. When the garbage disposal broke, they fixed it in less than 24 hours. Staff seems very friendly and responsive, though there has been very high turnover among rental office staff, so it's always someone new. Small terraces, but there are some beautiful redwood trees and nice lawn areas depending where you live. Pool is unheated, which kind of sucks. The one-bedroom is rather small (especially if you like to entertain) and the two-bedrooms I've seen don't have much more square footage. Rents have been reduced drastically in the last 2 months (one-bedrooms down to around $1250 from $1800 last December). Cats and small dogs allowed. Tenants are friendly, though not particularly gregarious. There are a lot of families here, but the kids aren't particularly noisy and go to bed early. Many stay-at-home Indian moms who cook delicious-smelling food that makes you want to live in *their* apartment.

I've never had a problem finding a parking space. Tiny exercise facility, usually have to wait for machines.

Though complex is between two busy streets (Fair Oaks and El Camino),virtually all units are off the street and surprisingly quiet. All the benefits of good location without the noise/safety issues.
