The Good:
1) Buildings are very well built, ferro-concrete with good insulation. Your neighbors have to go out of the way to be heard.

2) Grounds are well kept. Maintenance is responsive, even if they don't always get it right the first try.

3) The staff are nice (I recommend you speak to Hope).

The Bad:
1) Parking is a nightmare.

With a 2 bdrm we got 1 assigned spot (secured parking) and the other car has to fight for guest parking. There aren't enough spaces, and if you return late in the evening, fahgeddabout it.

Depending on what building you live in, you may be forced to park in the unsecured guest parking in front of the leasing office.

B E W A R E !! Just like the other reviewers say, cars are broken into regularly here. Today, Sunday at 4.oo pm I came back to find another car broken into. Mine hasn't been hit, but my wife has had 4 friends have their cars hit. I'd estimate at least 2 per week (I'd love to see the mountain of police reports).

Management refuses to put up cameras, I've seen the private security guy once in 6 months, and the sheer number of incidents show that car thieves are aware of the easy pickings.

I'd like to recommend the place, but I'd probably say look around carefully before deciding on Avalon.
