After reading these, you decide what you wanna decide:

(1) Your car gets broken into when parked inside security gates. You complain to the staff. They simply don't care. I suspect the car break-ins are some insider assisted jobs!

(2)Some tenants go around all the way to get into the assigned secured parking. You ask the admin staff nicely for a convenient place under a different building. You get the answer: "Policy is you park under your building". Good policy. But I know a guy who lives in 1249 and works in avalon admin and he parks conveniently under 1257! That is avalon for you! POLICY IS POLICY!

(3) If you are moving in, you see nice smiley - sometimes sexy - faces in the management staff. If you are asking for some maintenance service or if you are moving out, you see the same faces but they look like they are just back from hell.

(4) A treadmill doesn't work in the gym. You complain to Mr.Manager. He promises you that he will report it to the "company" (hell only knows what that "company" means!). One month passes by. the treadmill still doesn't work. You go and see the same Mr.Manager. He treats this as a new complaint and promises you that he will report to the company. One month passes by. The treadmill is still down. You go and see the same Mr. Manager. He treats this as... well, you got the picture!

(5) They say Avalon is a "public owned company". I am definitely interested to meet such suckers who would invest in such a horrible "public owned company". Or who knows, it becomes a "public owned company" only when you are negotiating for your 20 or 30 bucks in the per month rent when you renew your lease!

(6) I go to the admin office to drop off pay rent check. The phone rings. I am curious so I stop by the those nice couches and pretend reading some magazines. The girl on service desk says to the management guy who just walks in: "... call for you!". But he responds: "Put them on hold!" and walks right into an office where there are already a few management people chatting and talks about yesterday's Giants game! Now I know why I hold the phone for so long when I call in for some service!

(7) You drive into the apartment. Strangely, you see a few cop cars with their lights blinking inside the parking lot. As a reasonable resident, you are concerned. You go to the admin office and ask them what is going on. They ask you: "are there cops inside' where' why'". Then you chatter with them for two minutes and explain that there are cops INSIDE the apartment complex. Then you start walking out but you hear a murmur on your back: "Why does this sucker (word replaced to disguise obscenity) care if there are cops inside'". Well - if you have self respect, just walk out. Otherwise, go back in and talk more.

(8) If you value your money and if you value your self respect, DO NOT EVEN THINK OF AVALON! My lease expires in a few months and I am moving out for good! There are places out there who would treat you royally for the same kind of money you pay at this disgusting place!
