The ring of crime has been rather bad lately. I am a victim of crime in this community. I have lived in this community over two years now and I guess it was my turn.

Four days after someone tried to steal my car, my husband and I were coming home from the gym at 6:30 AM. It was pitch dark out. As we neared the gate in our vehicle my husband said goodbye to me and I said, "I am not getting out of the car right now."

He looked up and focused in on what I was looking at. Two teenagersleaving the building on foot, ten feet apart from eachother. One was carrying a toolbox.

I called 911, not only did it take me 8 minutes to get through to an operator but by the time I did the men were running down the street. We had started to follow them. I gave a very brief discription of the men and the operator said an officer would be there and follow up on the discription details with me after looking through the property.

The officer showed up TWENTY minutes later! They were long gone. Not only did the officer not leave his car, but he never came to get a discription of the two men.

I spoke to the new manager that morning and she stated that there had been theft every night at the property and she was having trouble getting through to the police. And getting them to respond to her requests.

However, a week later she wrote a letter to the City of Sunnyvale, City Council, Police Chief, etc. Stating that violence was at its worst. I know this because we recieved copies of the letter on our doors.

She seems to be taking this theft issue seriously. As we know crime gets worse as the holidays grow near so I look forward to seeing some action in this community.

On another note, the community has been a great place to live the past two years.

Maintenance requests are always answered and I have never had a problem letting them enter my home while I am away. This is by far the most professional maintenance staff I have worked with in my 12 years of renting.

The office staff also seem really good. They are happy to help me and keep REALLY good package logs. I have never had to worry about them recieving my packages.

The facilities (pool, gym, computer room, etc.) always seem to be kept up which is nice when you pay a premium to live here.

Oh, what this site says about parking is true. If you don't come home early enough on weekends there are a lack of spaces.
