When I first rented apartment in Avalon Silicon Valley I was told by the Leasing Agent that the pool is heated year round, but to my suprise the big pool is very cold like less then 70 degree. I pay $1650 for a 1 bedroom apartment and the amenities are not even the one they advertise.

Gym is big and looks very tempting but most of the machine are broken and outdated.

Parking is a big hassle, after 8 pm don't expect to find a parking in one shot.

Office staffs are friendly but the Bookkeeper and Community Manager are very rude. They both don't know how to handle the situation properly. Don't even think about dealing with them about any charges. Rude and impolite people - wonder how they are in property management - no customer service whatsoever.

BTW if you are white then you are in luck, community manager does everything possible to make you happy. Rest of the ethnics beware, she is very rude and racist. I wonder how she is a community manager of a place where there are 85% tenents from different race (asian, indian, hispanic).

Also Lawerence expressway and Highway 101 is very very loud and dusty, don't forget to clean your windows and patio every week.

I was told it was heated too and it's not! They bragged about the second pool and it's some dinky lil thing that cold too! It was nice in the winter when I moved in but ever since its been "swimming weather" it's NOT!
