Hello there:
it appears that most of these reviews has something to say and to vent.
1) this is one of the hottest spots for theives, it is TRUE that this is one of the highest apartment locations for car thevies. In the past cars have been left on blocks with the tires stolen, interior stolen, multiple cars at a time, this has been going on from at least the year 2000. This is problem that will not resolve with a "new" security company. It is a fact that without 24-hour security, cameras, etc, cars can enter, just by waiting for someone to go in the gates, not mention that there are MANY times those gates are not working.
2) Mgmt-there has been so much Turnover there, sometimes the fault of the Mgr, sometimes the fault of bad hiring decisions. The only good Mgr, was Jonathan Figone, ever since he left it really went down hill. The team there I am sure works hard, but the fact is that Avalon under pays and overworks, so therefore, you get a staff that is not a functional as it ought to be.
3)Rent increases-yes with ANY Avalon, they will increase the rent, and when the market is stronger, they will give big ones, and it will not matter if you dispute, they are definitly there to make money. This is not affordable housing, BMR housing, and Avalon is a REIT, so this the business, they are money mongers and strieve for the ever-loving dollar.
4) Customer Service-now this is funny. The head of Avalon, so Adores the entire Disney company, that he compares how Avalon should model themeselves by the Disney rules, but really doesn't see the entire picture, because in the day to day functions of the community and the customer relations, which is you the guest who is interested in renting and you the current resident, your needs seem to get lost and many times, many times are not answered or addressed for one reason or another.

Overall this community use to be an "A ", but it has aged and is pretty much a "B", but with all the problems, it really truely rates a "C".

P.S. Just to give an example, Avalon is so money driven, they are taking over an old mental asylum!! Get a load of this, AVALON purchased Danvers State Hospital, that was a insane asylum and tore it down to build 497 apts and condos, it was there for literally years, and has had MANY accounts of strange happenings that actually HAVE BEEN DOCUMENTED. Now do you think they will tell this to potential residents''' No, I do not think so, how would this effect their marketing campaign' Not good. Very sad. If there are strange happenings after residents move in, I would not be surpised check it

oh, yeah, beware if you are reading this and you are an employee, or are looking for a job at this company, the HR dept is very baised, and Marty and that other one with the blode hair is really not too friendly.

not to mention the drunken mgrs and the mgrs that sleep around to get their jobs!
