The complex was bought by a big corporation recently. Ann, the apartment manager who had been managing the property and did an absolutely wonderful job, was let go last Friday.

The new management company has arleady raised the rent on all vacant units. We, as the current tetnants, are waiting to see how soon we will get the notice of the rent raise.

The new company is also asking current tenants to re-submit applications and go through another credit check if they are thinking about moving to a different unit. It also sounds that they will not allow month-to-month rentals once the initial lease is up.

There is no special discount at this point as the rent is considered "below the market" by the new management company.
