3 year renter - Horrible, Horrible Apartments

I've been here 3 years, and hate it. The managers are friendly and responsive, but that cannot make up for everything else:
1) UNSAFE - this neighborhood is horrible. my roommate's car window has been smashed numerous times, and i've seen other cars in the lot with smashed windows. Thieves attempted to steal my motorcycle 3 times in the past 2 years (the last time, they stole my motorcycle cover after not getting my locked down bike)
2) apartment is OLD - closets are falling apart, building needs severe renovation
3) large rent increases: $120 rent increase, just a few months after a previous rent increase... seems they are trying to milk the "no rent increase more than 10%" law by having regular increases of 9.9% rent
