Perhaps, from people who have not had their rent increased by $400 recently!!
Casa Alberta used to be a very nice place to live, but a lot has changed since the new owners and assistant Manager stepped in. The latest headache: they decided to fumigate the entire complex next month. Hello! Holidays!! They are putting residents up in a flea bag motel so that they can tent the buildings and spray for termites. How inconvenient! Less than a week before Chrismtas, in my case. I guess, when my Family comes to visit for Christmas, they will have to get a motel, too. To make matters, worse, they are going alphabetically by building, but the Managers put themselves first so that they get sprayed at the beginning of the month, instead of a few days before Christmas. I feel that this is abuse of power at its worst!

I too was very upset about the termite situation, but after meeting with the management, they explained to me this was an order from the owners, and they had no choice in the matter. I have lived here for a long time and have seen the rents go up and down. Lately, the rents have been going up considerably. However, I do not blame the managers when my rent goes up. I remember when they were right there to give me discounts when the market was bad, so why should I turn against them now? For the money I am paying,I still say this is one of the better places to live in the area. Having our home treated for termites during the holidays sucks bigtime, but I guess it's better than having my building collapse because the termites have eaten away all of the wood that supports the building! It is pretty obvious the same group of people keep writing these negative reviews about the management, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying if you are this unhappy, you should just move out!

Did you ask them why they get preferential schedule for their termite spraying?? I'll bet no. Of course, it is the owner who wants the spraying done and not the Manager. That does not make me any less unhappy and I am counting the days until I can move out.

As obvious as it is that the same group of people are writing the negative reviews, it is equally as obvious that the same group of people are posting the positives. The owners are tenting the buildings because they have not spent enough money on restoration/repairs through the year and tenting for termites gives them the biggest BANG for their buck at 1 time, before the end of the year, so that their tax savings is at its most. These are not people who care about the folks that live in their buildings. These are greedy corporate scum who hire nitwits to run their establishment and take all the blame!!! Its a sad sad time we live in and Casa Alberta is one of the best examples of it.
