Rented the apartment for 6 months. The manager, who is the son of the owner, appears to to have a drinking problem (returned the keys on the last day a Sunday at 1:30 in the afternoon and he could hardly stand and talk). The value is sub-standard and the management and owner will try to get away with not doing any maintenance unless you point out the State regulations. They violated the law by not having heat in the winter, electrical outlets that so worn the plugs fall out, closet doors falling of the tracks. Flickering lights probably due to the wiring needing severe maintenance (poses a fire hazard). The refrigerator inside was all cracked with the plastic shelves destroyed (manager offered to fix with plywood and specifically refused the purchase of a new refrigerator) since the day we moved in. If you complain they threaten you by informing you that his sister is a lawyer (I countered by telling him to try it and he'll be facing a law firm from LA).

They deduct from the deposit for normal wear&tear (violation of State renters ordinances). The apartment was returned in cleaner condition then received and yet was excessively charged for rug and apartment cleaning. Receipts submitted were suspected false receipts.
