Here's a typical day. Last night, I did laundry - always a tactical exercise, yep again teenagers from next door to me followed me, I was watching and ready and had my pepper gas in my hand and they apparently thought better of it. I had to go back and forth to get my clothes done, so it's interesting, you have to get the clothes in/out of the dryers but at the same time be ready for attack. Got that done, and back to my apartment and buttoned up for the night. I need to confess, I was up late watching stuff about gypsy violin playing on YouTube, and it was about noon today when I was awakened by a knocking on my door - I always look through the window before opening it, and it was the manager. She asked me what's wrong, and I'm like, Huh' I'd literally just jumped out of bed! The manager tells me that I had called the daughter of the ppl next door a slut. "I was asleep" I explained, to the manager who is sure I did this, but can't tell me when I'm supposed to have done it, or where. I explain I'd been up late on the net and so was asleep until she woke me up! She keeps asking me if I said this, and tries work tricks like "No, means, No you did it'" And I keep coming back with "No, I did NOT say it, when am I supposed to have said it anyway' I was asleep." She tells me to close the door so she can talk to thes people, and I do, and go use the bathroom. After I've peed, she called me through the door again, and says she knows I listen up close to the door - "I was in the bathroom" I say. She asks if these people are making it up, and I say Yes, because I'm not talking to them, looking at them, etc. She tells me I have to not talk to them look at them etc basically the policy I've been following, and not to walk on the sidewalk. Well, to go in or out of my apartment, I have to walk on the sidewalk!! Is she saying I have to be a prisoner in my own apartment' I call the police to get this on record, this will be something like the 20th time or so over the last month or so. It starts when I moved in, for 2 months everything was quiet and peaceful, then these people, friends of the manager I think, move in. OK ok no problems at first, then the teenage kid confronts me on the sidewalk and tries to keep me from having someone pick up a piece of exercise equipment I'd sold on Craigs LIst. Things escelate, pretty soon a typical weekend involves the teenager and his friends trying to break into my apartment, trying to wrench the door open, cussing at me LOUDLY past midnight, loud music that "booms" the whole street, etc. I try dealing with management and nothing changes. I finally realize, why is this kid staying home from school' I call Child Protective Services, and get referred to Crime Prevention. That helps! A Crime Prevention officer is assigned to the case, finds out why the kid's out of school (suspended) and that he's supposed to be going to aother school, which he's not. Things start to quiet down a bit, although there's still loud noise, loud arguements with cuss words outside my door at times like 1AM so police calls are fairly common. Now I have these nuts saying I'm saying things, making accusations against me and the manager taking their side, calling them "Her kids" and taking their side when, How could I say these things if I'm fast asleep' I am tired of being awakened by a biased manager with some kind of agenda against me, believing lock stock and barrel what her little pals say. I will have to get with the Crime Prevention Officer again, also file a restraining order, also find out who Danielle's boss is and get with them.
Would I recommend these apartments' For most people, NO. They could be a good place to live if your'e a large, intimidating male with no older people, children, or wife/girlfriend to defend - you won't be able to be around all the time, You also won't be able to defend your car all the time, and someone here, a large could-be-intimidating male in fact, told me some nut threw rocks at his car! Says he had less problems back in East Palo Alto.
Living here seems to take constant contact with the police, and I need to start recording at least the audio of what's going on around here - it may prove useful in court. I sure wish I had audio of the harassment by the manager here today.
I am a middle-aged working female who does not drink, smoke, and could pass an Olympic drug test at any time - I know, I used to take 'em when I did a sport! I am quiet, peaceful, keep a neat patio, pay the rent on time, good credit rating, etc yadda yadda. Normally just the kind of tenant who has NO trouble because they don't cause any. Apparently in this complex, this makes me "prey" so I will fight back the best way I can - restraining order against the neighbors will be started tomorrow morning, after consulting with the Crime Prevention Officer to get their true names, I will also have to go to Public Records to get the owner of the Daisy Ridge Apartments and find out who's above Danielle in the chain of command there, etc.

First off I have lived in this complex for over 17 years, a single white female and never have had a problem. I wouldn't still be living here if it wasn't a peaceful relativly crime free location. yes there is crime but that happen everywhere. The worst thing that I have had happen is that some kid stole the valve caps from my car tires. Which I watched him do and I don't even think he even lived in the complex. loud music that "booms" the whole street? When? yes once in awhile neigbors have parties, they have the right, grow up if the situation is as bad as you say I have one word for you MOVE! The complex will probably be better off
