The manager, was very nice to meet, but warned us not to walk too heavily, because it disturbed him and his family, who lived downstairs. Our first, and only housewarming gathering garnered 3 phone calls at 9pm on a Saturday night from downstairs to "keep it down", and who knows how many phone calls to our manager (who was away that weekend) about the noise level.
Garbage disposals - you'd think it could handle a little bit of carrot peel. No, it can't. Nor can the manager, who waited two weeks to come and fix it.
So, lesson learned, do not live above your manager. Other than that, we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the pool in this melrose-place-without-the-young-hip-people complex.
