I lived here for over two years.

The landlady, Frieda Du Pont, appears very friendly and helpful.

When I moved out she suddenly became very unfriendly.

I rented my apartment at a much higher rate than anyone else was because I moved in during the good times.

When the market fell, I was still charged the higher rate.

When I moved out because of a new job in a different city, The land lady refused to do a walkthrough with me.

I had no choice but to leave keys in her mailbox.

I got no correspondance from her until I called her and left several messages about my deposit.

After six weeks I got a deposit statement full of made up items and she was charging me.

Be careful renting here, The landlady doesn't stick to her own rules, and you WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK - NOT ONE PENNY OF IT.

The fixtures and decor is cheap and nasty.

The neighbouring complexes are full of loud people who should be on the Jerry Springer show.

The parking is unsafe, a number of the residents had car crimes inflicted on them thanks to poor lighting and negliegence from the landylady - she didn't want to spend money on security.

if the landlord didnt give u your deposit - or a list of reasons as to why she did not return it - WITHIN 21 DAYS - by LAW the landlord MUST give u back the full deposit. even if you had torn that place apart - if the landlord doesn't comply with the 21 days of return of deposit, or reason as to no return or partial return of deposit - YOU SHOULD HAVE WENT AFTER HER AND GOT ALL YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!!! CALIFORNIA LAW
