Parkwest is a strange little apartment complex made up of studios and "junior 1 bedrooms," which are tiny little places with a separate sleeping area. Theoretically the apartment capacity is three people, but I couldn't fathom sharing it with anyone. It's simply too small.

The complex is separated into two parts by another set of apartments in the same style, but with different owners. This is perfectly fine, although those tenants in the half of the complex "down the street" have to lug their laundry pretty far.

The neighbors seem relatively quiet. It's in a neighborhood of other apartments, so there's not a lot of traffic noise (sort of a constant hum from 101, but that's it). It's more of a pickup truck kind of neighborhood than an SUV kind of neighborhood.

The apartment manager is responsive and lives in the complex. There were some dead roaches when I moved in, although I haven't seen any live ones and they spray regularly (more regularly when there are complaints).

It's not a bad place to live for a single person trying to save money who doesn't have much furniture. The space isn't big enough to entertain, although all the apartments have generous outdoor (fenced!) private patios, which is nice especially if you have a cat. I probably won't renew my lease when the year is up, just because I'd like a little more room.
