We lived in Parkwood for more then a year & it was a good experience coz the Manager at that time was really nice & efficient. It was very very well kept. That was the best part. Beautifully maintained in fact the best i have ever seen. They have a nice little gym & a very well kept swimming pool.

The maintenance was always efficient & on time. Only problem was when we were planning to move out in 2003 the old manager had quit & the new manager could not live upto the good work the earlier one had done. You could just see the difference.

They may have improved again in the last 2 years so i can't say much about that.

The biggest drawback. If u are someone with kids & who likes a little noise & late nights then absolutely the wrong place to move in. They had a strict no-noise policy after 10.00pm & believe me that meant not evenusing the dishwasher coz it was "so noisy". We had 2 other friends with kids who faced similar probs with neighbors using the threat about the no-noise policy in the contract. It sucked. We wud have a party & after that it meant no cleaning of dishes till the next morning. No doing any work in the kitchen coz your neighbor was getting disturbed. & i am not exaggerating when i say they had paper thin walls coz at times u could even hear your neigbor pee.

Believe it or not all this got to us & we just had to move out. U can't live like this for too long unless u r a recluse & like to sleep off early & hate any kind of noise.

& finally just forget about the deposit. They really fleeced us on that. I had a back problem & spoke with the new manager & one of the mgt. employees & asked them that. What would they charge me if i leave the apt. without cleaning it' They specifcally said it would be a round figure of $100. In fact believe it or not the two of them visited my apt. & said "UR APT. IS SO CLEAN U DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING".

So we just did some basic vaccuming & cleaning around the house (inspite of them telling us not to even do that) & then after a couple of weeks we get r deposit back from that. It was only $150 out of the total of $500 that we paid them. We called & wrote to them & now suddenly there were hidden costs of some special cleaning of the blinds & special carpet cleaning etc. etc. So finaly it ended to be a bad experience for us.
