This was the first apartment I have ever lived in and I had a very good experience. ------- was the manager when I lived there and she was very fair and friendly. If you stick to the rules then there should be no problems dealing with her.
The good:
The apartment was clean with fresh paint and carpet (I had no problems with mold in my apartment), the appliances were in like-new condition and were decent quality, my apartment was very bright and sunny, the complex is very quiet and peaceful, landscaping is beautiful and the pool facilities were great (just wish they were open a little later). Maintenance was very good and prompt (my water heater sprung a leak Saturday night, I reported it Sunday morning at 9 AM and when I returned home at 7 PM I had a brand new water heater already installed and it was like nothing had ever happened). The neighborhood is very nice and the complex is very safe.
The bad:
The walls are thin but the noise from neighbors is not unbearable as every resident I encountered is respectful and understanding, the apartments are quite small, parking can be difficult on sunny weekend days because so many people come to the park accross the street (DeAnza park) and take up all the street spots, the gym is very small, and the upstairs apartments can get very hot on hot summer days (invest in some good fans to get the air flowing at night when it is cool and you will be OK).
I cleaned my apartment very well before I left (vaccumed, mopped, wiped off surfaces, light fixtures, and any spots on the walls), and they only held about $150 of my deposit for cleaning the carpets and the window blinds (both were pretty dirty).
Overall, this was a good experience and I would reccommend living here.
