I rented an apartment here for 4 months in 1992! Was hardly ever there as I met my current husband at that time. Never even used the oven. When I moved out, had probably slept there maybe 2-3 weeks total. My, then, boyfriend did the walk-thru for me and nothing seemed a problem with the manager. Then we got a notice: no refund of deposit and billed us more. Wasn't a smart choice on their part - I was pre-law at Stanford. Took them to small claims court where they refunded all of my money, plus my time missed from work, and all of my additional expenses. They were warned by the judge - wonder if it's the same owners'
