his apartment is low-life. They charge 1000$ deposit, but never pay interest on deposits. I called them and "Nancy" said she knew landlords are supposed to give deposits, but they are not going to give me. I asked if I can show them legal documents, she said no, she didn't want to hear it, receive it. They will hold your deposit beyond 21 days. They charge 1k$ and then will send you a summary on the 21st day after you move out saying they are still working on the apartment and there is no time frame of when they will send me the check. I wrote them a letter saying I will sue them if they don't give me the deposit back in 1 week and they mail me a check right away. They also write a letter on 10/17 requests all tenants to show their permanent residency proof which is illegal since California law bars landlord to inquire immigration status of the tenants. http://immigrantpolitics.org/2007/10/12/ca-law-overrules-lo When I move in, they told me the life span of the carpet is 5 years, but in Nov 2007, they increase the security deposit from 500$ to 1000$ and told me the life span of the carpet is now 10 years. The way it works is if you lived there for 3 years and you move out, they will charge you 70% of the carpet replacement instead of 40% since the remaining life of the carpet is 7 years based on the new rule. How can the remaining life of the carpet changed after I moved in' They also charge you 100$ for dry cleaning the drape. They showed me a receipt but I called the number and it is only an answer machine, no one returned phone call. This is likely a scam since this is not a normal business. When we move in, we didn't get new drip pan. When we move out, they signed on the moveout inspection saying the drip pan is clean. We took photos, but they still charge the replacement of drip pan. I called and they said they will not return the money for drip pan replacement. Please contact me if you have complain against remington grove.

Thanks for letting others know. Can you say project sentinel and small claims. The owner and manager/s do that on purpose to harass and dissuade non-whites from renting here. And apparently they are all too far successful in it. So successful that there are vacant apartments all over...LOL. Guess who is the looser.

The management sucks. The manager/owner is an idiot/jerk. He is not willing to talk to anyone. He calls police if ask for explaination for anyof his charges.He is very rude. This apartments's ratings fall below 1.

The owner is not giving my deposit back. When I call them, they say they are not sure when they are going to send. I want to file a case in small claims. How did you approach to get your deposit back? Please send me your contact details.
