I'm a recent tenant at Remington Arms... I've signed a lease for a studio apartment for $950 a month. The Studio size is about 500 sqft. Exactly one month before my 1 year lease was up, the property management sends me a notice for a rent increase from $950 to $1400!! That's about 50% increase!! And not too long ago too.. that a notice was sent that the apartment no longer will pay for the building's water and sewage like most apartments do. All tenants now have to open an account with the City of Sunnyvale to pay for their water and sewage cost! I have always paid my rent on time and hardly ever home to even make any kinds of complaints to the management. So.. I do not see the reasons for such an increase for me like this. Sunnyvale does not have rent control law. So renters beware! Remington Arms does poor property management practice. The apartment manager is ever at the office during the posted office hour too.. So forget getting any questions or help from them too!
