I've been at Tamarind Square for two years and was the first tenent in my unit. I believe it opened in the Fall of 2004 so it is a very new complex. The grounds are kept well. There is a gym and pool. There is also a recreation room.
I live in a one bedroom. One bedrooms are on the bottom floor. Not great if you have neighbors that walk heavy upstairs. Townhouse unit kitchens (wood floors) are over the bedrooms - can get annoying if they move furniture around too much, or when someone walks in heels. You can also hear the dishwasher running so hope you have nice neighbors that won't run their dishwashers at 11 pm or even 4 am (yes, this has happened to me.) Over all it's quite.
Very roomy, very stylish. Lots of storage (outside and inside). Walk in closet is great. In unit washer and dryer. Wood floors in the kitchen and entry way. Great central AC. Roomy patios. Double pane windows.
Parking - Cover assigned spaces. I've seen this place at full capacity - when all the parking spaces have been taken and folks have to park on the street. At the moment it is pretty decent.
Management - it has changed twice now. New Management as of this Winter. Management in 2005 was my favorite. I wasn't too happy with the management team that came in after in 2006. For Management now, I can't say much, but I did run into a vendor on my way in who said she was ignored by management - apparently the person on duty simply closed an office door while on their personal cell phone and didn't mention a word to the vendor. I was not able to find anyone to assist me at the time either; however, that is just one occurance. They are good at notifying you of any water shut offs and such ahead of time, or if they plan to enter your unit. I was disappointed when they did not inform me of any changes in the security partol company.
Maintenance presently - I haven't had problems for maintenance to visit so I can't say much on their performance.
Security - the complex does have security patrol. Units also have security systems.
Tamarind Square Community - singles, couples, and small families. A few pets, not a lot.
Location is excellent. Freeway access is great - you can hit every freeway in the area in 5 - 10 mins. Grocery is a bit of a drive, but worth it.
I will be leaving. I've enjoyed my stay to a degree. It all depends on who you get for a neighbor and management, I guess. Hope this helps you.

the wood floors in the kitchen and entryway are fake wood. Look closekly, you can see the exact pattern of knotholes repeats in various places on the floor...
