To the resident that posted the comment on 02/02/08, I would have to strongly disagree in regards to the property management. I have been living in these apartments for over 4 years now and have to say, YES...there are many ups and downs as in ANY apartment complex, however, the management isn't one of them.

Yes, in September 2007 The Landmark apartments did undergo new management...for the better! She has been nothing but helpful, patient, understanding, and quick to respond to resident needs. For what some don't understand, makes them ignorant. Property management, unfortunately, does not have complete control over many, if not all, of the decisions that are to be made in regards to the complex gounds such as laundry machines, air plan noise, or repaving concrete so that rain doesn't collect at the bottom of ones steps.

I strongly doubt that, "the manager focuses on finding more ways to waste our time and money." One would have to be extremely naive to believe such a thing.

All in all, I think The Landmark apartments are a pleasant and safe place to live and the property management makes it all the better!!!

As the poster from 2/2, while I'm glad to see that some are happy at the Landmark, it doesn't change the fact that I've had several real, significant problems go unfixed. No hot water for four days is not a negotiable problem; it should have been fixed in one. I will agree that the new property manager is quite pleasant and nice, but that doesn't make her helpful. If she is not responsible for clearing the pond that separates me from my car, then it's her job to pass that information to whoever is in charge, and then to tell me what the management in general plans to do to solve my problem. Three complaints in 6 weeks with no response is not reasonable. Observing that this does not happen does not make me "ignorant," it simply makes the manager unqualified. Do you have any examples to the contrary involving nontrivial problems? When my screen door was broken, they fixed that pretty quickly, which I appreciated, but that is something that can be handled by the perfectly helpful on-site maintenance staff, and is not indicative of serious problems like losing heat or hot water. Personally, I find basic utilities to be more important to me, and that is where I would prefer they focus their attention. If you have been satisfied here, then I'm glad someone is getting treated appropriately, but I have not been. It is unlikely that the management is actively working to waste my time and money, but it is not my naivete that led me to that conclusion. Rather, it is my cynicism based on many poor experiences. I momentarily forgot the adage, "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." As for the air plane noise, while that sure isn't the management's fault, it is absolutely something worth knowing for those who are interested in renting my unit when my lease expires.

Response to the above poster: As we are all very aware, this website is not to ???bash??? any of the residence OR maliciously assault anyone unparticular. Its job is to give others the opportunity to look for an apartment and feel comfortable in their choice in doing so; I apologize for lashing out and calling you naive. However, I understand that you may have had several bad experiences with dealing with the management (fortunately, I have had nothing but positive feedback) but I feel that it does not make it okay to get personal and call property management, ???self-centered, unhelpful, and unresponsive to tenant needs.??? Just because you may have had poor experiences does not mean everyone else has. I am very happy with The Landmark apartments and I do not want someone to miss out on the great experiences that I have had because they read a poor review, as this would not be fair to future residence. I do however wish you the best in your search once your lease has expired. Just keep in mind, apartments are apartments, not brand new single family homes so don???t set the bar to high or else you will never make it over???and never be happy enough!
