Manager is a result of the problem, not the cause.

We've been Sunnyvale residents for over 20 years, and sadly we cannot recommend Tri-Terrace -- or for that matter, just about any apartment complex in this city.

Why' Well, because what was once a clean, quiet, upscale neighborhood has been overrun by people who do not understand the basic principles of consideration, privacy and respect, and who believe it's their God-given right to treat common areas in an apartment complex as their own private playgrounds: to have their kids running and screaming up and down common hallways nearly 24 hours a day, to leave their kids' toys strewn everywhere, to convert their balconies into dens and second bedrooms, to disregard capacity laws and invite their relatives, friends and just about everyone else to come live with them, and on and on and on.

The problem with Tri-Terrace is NOT the manager. When Mo first started here a few years ago she was an extraordinarily sweet and helpful woman, but in the space of just two years has become cynical, withdrawn and bitter. And we don't blame her one bit. Dealing with these residents every day, who neither understand nor respect the traditional American standard of living must be an exercise in utter frustration.

As for the complex itself, the owner keeps it up very well. Just in the last year it's had new paint, new landscaping, new pavement in the parking lot areas etc. But the buildings are very cheap construction and a lot of corners were cut when they were built. Electrical wall outlets are ungrounded, the buildings have flat roofs with no A/C wall units allowed, so units get extremely hot during summer months, and interior hallways have no ventilation, so just getting to your apartment on a hot day (especially 2nd floor units) is a very unpleasant experience.

I have lived in these apartments for the last 3 years and I fully agree with the things being said. My apartment and the grounds are wonderful. However, there are so many new tentants who are just flat out dirty, loud, rude and lack common sense. They leave their mail and garbage where ever they please. They have a thousand people living in one place and cook all night long! They let their kids run up and down the hall ways without supervision. They treat the hallways like it is their personal living room.

Honestly, I am not a racist person..but the smell of Indian food is highly offensive to me. Do not move here is you do not like the smell because it is so strong it fills all of the inside hallways, the outside areas and travels upstairs into my apartment.

tell the true story -- you are unable to pay the high rent as it got raised due to the high paying people who live here :) dont hide in the garb of racism
