Only if desperate

If you are an educated, professional, play-by-the-rules kind of person, this is NOT the place for you! Yikes -- barely know where to begin with this review.

The complex seems decent enough. It was my first experience living in a small complex with management who lives on-site. I had assumed it would be friendlier than larger, impersonal complexes. But, wow, was I wrong! People here very much like to keep to themselves (they don't even like to respond when you smile and say "hello"). Once I realized that was the case, I was fine with it. Such is the joy of apt. life, I figured.

However, there's one much larger problem. If you don't "fit in" (I seemed to be the only person who wore a suit to work), they really let you know. For instance, I came home one rainy day with a carload of groceries to discover someone in my carport. The manager's office is right next to my spot so it was easy enough to just stop and tell her the situation. Well, instead of saying she would do something or even taking an I'll-make-a-note-of-it ambivalent approach, she got angry at me! This nutcase told me to stop complaining (My only other contact with her was to report a neighbor blasting carnival music -- pipe organ music -- one weekend AM), park on the street and if I hated living there so much I should move! No joke. It was the most bizarre experience with an apt. manager I'd ever had. Maybe she forgot to take some sort of medication that day.

Well, things got progressively worse. My carport was in front of her unit, so she decided to get her kicks out of having her personal visitors and every apt. maintenance person park in my carport from that point on.

Aside from the nutty management (which may have changed by now, but that was the case at the time), the older building was constructed without any insulation. So the noise level is beyond the typical apt. noise. You hear every conversation your neighbors have like they are in your apt. I could even hear the guy downstairs snoring!

There is one positive to living here. It did allow me to save for a home. The owner isn't greedy with rent increases, so you can count on a relatively low rent.
