Villa Cerise

We visited this complex and liked where it was, good area in terms of proximity to amenities...and the place was cute. But- overpriced, even in this market...and the property Manager was awful! Karen Jensen is her name, she not only had a chip on her shoulder, when we approached her about the BMR program (below market rate) kind of like HUD housing...but got so angry with us, for asking her questions like what can we expect back from our security deposit, if we clean the place and carpets, and live there about a year. Trying to figure out what she things usual wear and tear of use, would cost us...also asked her about her rates and if she does participate in the BMR program. She insisted she did, but then said her rate for 1 bedroom ($950) was already below market. Some how she missed the fact that the BMR program means those that qualify for a lower rate, would get a lower rate than the average employed person making $100K, while we are making $50K...she insisted her rates were below market already and thus there was no BMR rate. DUH..then you DON'T participate in the BMR program? She eventually tore up our application, accused us of being from the BMR office and told us "this is not the place for you" you need to leave. Talk about a rude and obnoxious person who just needs to speak to people with some respect, regardless of our income, race, or gender. We are 2 asian sisters looking to rent a place.
