Great place to live

Overall:

I'm sorry to be leaving this apartment. Villa Lometa is a well-maintained, small, family-owned complex. The manager, Mark, is genuinely concerned about the quality of life provided for the tenants. I've lived here for over a year and a half, and only one couple moved out of my building (to buy a home). Most tenants are long-term (some have lived here for 10 or more years).

Inside:

The one-bedroom apartments share only ONE wall with a neighbor, and have nobody above or below (all one-bedrooms are upstairs above carports). The kitchen had a new fridge/dishwasher when I moved in. There was new flooring throughout, new curtains, tons of closet space (two closets in bedroom, one in the hallway). Screen doors (nice in Summer, since there's no A/C).

The ceilings are open-beam and very bright. I love that the bedroom and hallways have built-in ceiling lights (fewer lamps to buy). I also love the lay-out of the apartment -- you can't see much of anything when you first enter, and the kitchen is tucked away from view (in case the dishes are still in the sink). The water pressure is *amazing* in my apartment, and heats up instantly for showers.

Repairs:

Very professional. I had two problems with my apartment: the oven started beeping for no reason, and a small electrical issue with the dishwasher and microwave on the same wall. BOTH were handled the day after I reported them, with professionals called in to do the repair work.

Whenever maintenance work needs to be done (spraying for pest control, occasionally turning off the water for area construction, etc.), I received advance notification in writing.

Outside:

The neighborhood is very nice -- tree-lined streets, mostly single-family homes, some other well-maintained small complexes, and new development (Starbucks/Quiznos right around the corner). Easy parking.

As a single female, I felt very safe here and would recommend it to any of my friends (I have, in fact -- but there were no apartments vacant at the time!).
