BAD and Cheat Mangement

I have lived in the apartment for 13 months. When I was shown the apartment it has a different lay out even the one I chose was corner second floor as the model apartment and I was very specific about having the same layout. The day I was planning to move-in I found that the carpet is still wet so we (me and my) wife had to stay with my friend for a day. We complaint to the manger, she was very rude and asked us to give one month notice and vacate the apartment if we are not satisfied. Given the fact we didn't wanted to search the new apartment again and move so we compromised.
There is a hardware-factory sharing a wall with the apartment and makes lot of notice in night. It runs in night mostly due to the one reason or another and if you happen to be on that side you will have sleep less nights. Cal-Trains tracks are next to the apartment complex and whole building shakes up while trains pass by. When I had asked is there any noise issue the management completely lied about it. Later I found sever people have vacated the apartment mid-term lease due to this reason alone.
At the time of moving we had filled out move-in checklist and there were numerous issues related to carpet, bathroom etc. We moved out the whole apartment was cleaned to the extent of being cleaner then when we moved-in. I have even photographed it. But management has charged me with $450 from my deposit $450 and for $3-4 they are threatening to go to collection. My point is that give me the move-in check-list and original lease papers and then I will go to the court be they are denying it. Now I am force to take legal action. Legal action sounds ok but it a also pain and take lot of your bandwidth and they know it.
There are lot more observations about bad maintenance, dirty swimming pool, tiniest gym and office is close so often that it take multiple attempt to collect you parcels or if you need to talk to them. I can go on and on but
Only good part is that this apartment is close to Lawrence as well as close to El-Camino and parking is never an issue.

FYI If you they did not let you know ahead of time that the apartment was not move-in ready you do not need to give a 30-day notice to vacate.
