I had been here for about 4 months, but I couldn't find any of the complains in earlier reviews. My overall experience has been very good, the complex is one of the better ones - very spacious and green with a lot of parking space available and location is good as well. SO I guess earlier bad reviews had been provided by dissapointed people only.

Hi, I am planning to move to these apartments in near future and planning to take Ground floor. After reading the reviews I am more worried about insects. Are you living in ground floor? Did you see the problem of insects. Also, I got the following response summary when I requested reviews in my company portal for these apartments. *********************************************************** - If your apartment is facing the Evenlyn street, expect to hear road noise. - If your apartment is facing the Caltrain tracks, expect to hear Caltrain noise. - If your apartment is in the center, it is relatively quite and peaceful but expect to see lots of Slugs and other insects to enter through your carpet inside the apartment. I used to live in APT-1186 which was centrally located (calm, peaceful but issues with insects) - Management is outright RUDE. Manager Mary Hwang is awful, rude, arrogant, (I am short of words here). - Maintenance is HORRIBLE. Their maintenance personnel includes a moron called Miguel who thinks he is the BOSS of everybody. He intimidates residents with his actions and ensures that you prefer not reporting any of your maintenance issues so that he has less work to do. I had to file written complaints at rental office about this maintenance person to ensure that he does not come at my house for maintenance work. - General staff at the rental office (includign Mary Hwang) will give you ridiculuous suggestions when you complain about insects/slugs/carpet problems. The suggestions I and several other residents received from them are - "You have to live with nature", "Use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of ants", etc. - When it came time to return deposit (I lived there for over 3 1/2 years), even though I had a used carpet before move-in (about 3 years old from prior resident)and even though the inspection person told me that they won't charge me for carpet, and even though the lease agreement specified that people leaving beyond 3 years won't be subjected to carpet related charges, those idiots charged me close to $330 for a replacement carpet even when I did not get a new carpet on move-in. - They gobbled up my security deposit. - Water, Sewer, Trash bill comes out to at least $40 per month regardless of your usage. - Once you move out, expect miniscule amount or nothing back from your security deposit. *********************************************************** I would request you to let me know if these are still the issues.....or the new management has taken care of them. Appreciate your response.

I currently live here and have for almost two years. The new management company is too new to have made an impact yet. The above post is fairly accurate. (1) The manager Ms. Hwang is obviously overwhelmed by her position and may not be qualified even for the job and that may be the partial reason for so many complaints. (2) The office staff have not been trained in customer service. (3) The apartment was not cleaned upon move in but when you are moving and paying movers by the hour you are stuck with the carpet though it may not be the cleanest. (4) There is a huge bug/rodent (rats not squirrels) problem here. (5) Maintenance is non-existent. You should expect to wait at least two weeks for any issue no matter how urgent. Unknown re return of security deposit as my lease isn't up yet so not able to move.
