Not Worth It!

We've been here almost 2 years. Thank goodness we are moving out soon. The staff here is more worried about getting new tenants than they are keeping on good terms with the existing tenants. If you need maintenance, good luck! Last time I needed something fixed, it took 3 months and several emails before anything was done. There is always some sort of maintenance related noise. Recently, we were informed that the apartments were being repainted, that we wouldn't be inconvenienced for more than a week. Imagine my surprise when going onto my balcony to find some strange man hanging out - I suppose he was working. Also, men working on the roof have no problem looking into bedroom windows while climbing up and down ladders. Parking is atrocious, security is a joke, and if the Post Office informs me that I have a package waiting in the Solana Ridge Office, the office staff usually can't find it. It's been almost a year since our air conditioner filters have been changed. Oh, and if you do decide to live here, be careful which apartment you choose! Last year, a woman died alone in her apartment and was dead IN THE APARTMENT for 3 weeks before anyone noticed and removed the body. But you bet it was rented out in no time at all. People get drunk at the pool, making it unsafe for kids, you'll receive your utility bill 2 days AFTER it's due (but you'll still have to pay the late fee), and you just might get a Three Day Notice to Pay Rent, even if you've already paid your rent. There are lots of nicer places to rent for $1,500 bucks a month. Take your money elsewhere. I can't wait to move - and I'm not even that picky!

I live here as well and I have not had any problems! I love it. Maybe its you? I was here when the poor woman passed away and she had no family...that is why no one found her, it had nothing to do with the office staff and it stay empty for at least 3 months, I live close! You need to get your facts straight before you go badmouthing Solana Ridge. And maybe you should pay your rent on time!

Our rent has always been paid on time, if not early. Not once have we even been a few days late. Forgive me if I get irritated by mistakes made by the office staff - it's not exactly fun getting three day notices when you've already paid your rent. Get my facts straight? Do you have any idea the cleaning and sanitizing that's required when somebody has died in a residence? Just because a place was empty for a month or two does not mean that it's clean. Maybe it's me, maybe it's not. This is the first place I've lived that I've ever had complaints about. What I stated in my review was simply my opinion, with the facts stated as I see them. The FACTS are as follows: 1) We have received 3 day notices after paying our rent early - honest mistake, sure, but irritating nonetheless. 2) After painting on our part of the building was supposed to be over with, I still walked out to find a stranger on my balcony - I'm sorry, am I supposed to be comfortable with that? 3) While in my bedroom, I saw man climbing down a ladder and the pause he took to look into my bedroom was just too long to be innocent - again, is this supposed to be okay and maybe I shouldn't mention it since that would be badmouthing? 4) Waiting months to have something fixed - something that was in disrepair when we moved in and couldn't fix ourselves - is not only unreasonable, but unfair to us. Those are the FACTS, so don't go making assumptions about our rent-paying habits when you obviously have not had the experience we've had. You might have been right about the problem being just me, except for this: We have met plenty of people who have lived here with similar complaints, and people who can't wait to move.

I would have to agree with Anonymous 1. These complaints are coming from someone just looking to complain because they dont get their way. Im going on two years there myself, and yes they didnt treat me like a new resident, but they did remind me that we got the same specials that the new people are getting and they will run into the same thing when they renew. They are only girls in the office. Find a better cause to fight for.

Satying here is on your own risk in terms of security. There was a burglary here and nobody did anything about it,i mean to take preventive measures or make people cautious.be very careful while staying here and be aware of your surroundings.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't crime happen anywhere at anytime? How is it the responsibility of anyone but ourselves to make sure that our own personal property is secure? It floors me how people act so "shocked" when crime happens to them, or hits a little too close to home. I live here too and all the apts have security alarms in them...hello, why don't you set yours?!?

HEY 'NOT WORTH IT'--GEEZUS! you wrote: "Recently, we were informed that the apartments were being repainted"...shhh, listen carefully, do you hear that? Huh?...yeah! it's the teeny tiny itty bitty piece of common sense that you have left in that peanut sliver of a brain, screaming: "GET A CLUE, MORON!". Hmmm, construction workers looking curiously at a woman through an open window? UNHEARD OF! THE AUDACITY! Fact is, that nosy painter works with me. His name is Hardu (they call him Harold) Hard worker but a full on flaming queer as --- as the day is long. I hate to burst your bubble, I was holding the bottom of the ladder during the time you referenced. Harold told me "well slap my A$$ and call me a B----h!, Jimmy!! (thats me) "You just GOT to come up here and see these Fabulous shams and curtains. I HAVE to know where they bought them!! {Keep the damn blinds closed and there won't be anything to look at). Preventative measures and common sense was implied/encouraged when YOU WERE NOTIFIED BY MANAGEMENT. And don't be so full of yourself...thinkin' that "Oooooh! everyone that is near my house is looking at or wanting me!" Its very unattractive...and kinda creepy. ---But you were right about that poor old lonely woman with NO family. Where does she get off dying without telling anyone? The nerve!...and if that wasn't bad enough, she hangs around and just stinks up the place. I bet she got a firm letter from the office for sure. Did they eventually evict her and take her to court??
