This property was out of control and unsafe for it being a place of residence in Temecula. I had never felt so awkward and uncomfortable living in any place besides this one. The property grounds are trashed with garbage everywhere. Some of groundskeepers dumpster dive opening trash bags looking for aluminum cans to put in their golf carts to add to their collection, while at the same time they decide to start finally cleaning up the trash blowing around the parking lot after it has accumulated after a week. In the summertime there was a bad pest problem. Bugs and roaches come lurking out of the walls and then an on site pest control company is needed to come in a couple of times a week. On a nightly regular basis there is suspicious people loitering in the parking lot that look like drug dealers.
I have seen the local police dept there atleast a couple of times a week and it is not for a routine courtesy patrol. They usually have gangbanger looking people sitting on the curbside as they're questioning them for some sort of reason. The management at this property do nothing what so ever when you address an issue of not feeling safe or suspect suspicious activity at night in the parking lot. There reponse is..."Call the police", Well thats fine an dandy if so, but it is their responsibility to maintain and overlook the property and to take action when and if needed so if it is not operating correctly and safely as needed to be. They just blow you off because they do not care and tell you what you want to hear hoping that your concern will just fade away.

This property has an overall extreme crime rate. I have met people that have had their vehicles broken into in the past time while living here. This is not a family oriented residence and i would not recommend this place if you want a safe Enviroment for children. Somerset is literally the hood in Temecula.

Somerset apts and the rancho california apts are rated the 2 worst apartment complexes to reside in, in the entire city. It may be an affordable medium rated rent fee, but it is crime infested and beyond noisey. There is no such thing as peace and quiet here. Other neighbors living here crank their music all hours of the night and day of the week. And do not have any common courtesy and respect for other tenants living around them.

If you're searching for a normal, quiet and safe Enviroment that is crime free and has normal working class people, then these crackhead projects called Somerset apts are definetley the place.
