My husband and I moved in to Archstone about 6 months ago. We have enjoyed living here, but like living any any other apartment, there are pros and cons.

Pros- The apartments are very clean and well maintained. The maintenance staff is very friendly. The building is very high quality. The apartment community is usually very quiet. Nice landscaping. Huge oaks trees surround the buildings. The bathroom and closets are large. Close to the 23 and the 101.

Cons- Squirrels and spiders are very common. We have seen all sorts of spiders since we moved here. If you walk out side during a summer evening you will most likely walk into a spider web or two. They also find their way into the apartment. Its not infested, but we do kill 1-3 spiders a week. We have a unit that is over looking the pool. This seemed like it would be a pro but, you can hear everything that goes on at the pool. At one point in time a group of people would go to the pool almost every week day night and stay there until the wee hours of the morning. They were very loud and would keep us awake with their loud laughing and the clinking of beer bottles. The curfew for the pool is midnight, which I think is too late. These people moved away. So the pool noise level depends on the current tenants.

We would love to continue to live here, but we think that the rent will go up above what we can afford once it is time to sign a new lease. Archstone, don't charge so much and then you will have a higher occupancy rate! People can't stay in an apartment when the rent goes up $200-$300 each year. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
