We've enjoyed living @ The Knolls for 2yrs and we'd have to say that apartment life just doesn't get much better! The entire staff actually knows what they're doing and they do it quite well. We think the main reason others have written negative comments regarding the rules that are enforced is because they're used to living at apartments where the manager's never available, maintenance drags their feet, and neighbors don't appreciate community order. At least @ The Knolls, you get what you pay for because they don't mess around! If negligent parents let their kids run wild, why would people expect The Knolls staff to police the place when many of the tenants enjoy a quiet environment most of the time. That just doesn't make much sense!

This review concludes with "If negligent parents let their kids run wild, why would people expect The Knolls staff to police the place when many of the tenants enjoy a quiet environment most of the time. That just doesn't make much sense!" This conclusion makes no sense! If there are problems with noise, kids running wild, etc. I expect the management, who we are paying good money to with our high rent, to enforce the rules! Sounds like whoever wrote this is luckily residing in a quiet area of the complex. Better enjoy it, because with tenant turnover, it's only a matter of time before things can change.

Also, the horrid leasing staff has nothing to do with not following the rules. They think they're running a dictatorship over there. On the very first day of our move in management was rude, and quite upsetting. They were angry that we were trying to move in when they wanted to close down for lunch--at 4:00 in the afternoon! Who closes for lunch that late! Also, they were very pushy about us buying their own type of renter's insurance, even when I told them we were going with Farmer's. However, maintenance has been very good, and very on the ball thus far.

I use renter's insurance with Farmers at the Knolls and I've had no problems. they just want your agent to fax them the policy to make sure it's sufficient, valid and covers their required minimums.
