The surroundings are beautiful. The grounds are pretty. The apartments are spacious and maintenance was pretty on top of things except fixing our railing which came apart 9 months before we moved and was never repaired. The rent was outrageous (400 more than when we moved in) and they scaled back on a lot of the amenities. We were able to move into a 3 bedroom house (with a yard, etc...) for way less than what they were charging. They found a way to nickel and dime us out of our deposit - which was huge - and we never saw more than $200 of it. We took great care of our place and cleaned and even touched up some of the problems that were there when we moved in. Also, management is very picky - if they don't like you, watch out. We never had a problem, but witnessed many who did for no apparent reason.

I agree, I live at the knolls now, and on the very first day of our move in management was rude, and quite upsetting. They were angry that we were trying to move in when they wanted to close down for lunch--at 4:00 in the afternoon! Also, they were very pushy about us buying their own type of renter's insurance.
